Dharumavantha School is an English medium government school in Malé, Maldives. The school was established in January 2002 as a single gender school that teaches male students to the secondary level of education. Nevertheless, in 2010, government decided to introduce coeducation classes in all of the four single gender schools in the[1]country starting from 2011. Since its conception in 2002, Dharumavantha school has rapidly become one of the most prominent schools in Maldives[2]

Refers to a conscious control of mind and body to achieve high ideals of the School. It also hints to the idea of being a disciple of the noble Dharumavantha Rasgefaanu and guide students to do deeds of Dharuma or to do loyal service to the family, community and the nation.

Despite its short history, it is widely believed among Maldivians that Dharumavantha School has established itself as one of the leading schools in Maldives. The schools have an almost level record in terms of academic statistics with other top schools, but Dharumavantha have a marginally better performance often. Dharumavantha was awarded second place for its academic performance for the year 2007. In Maldives, the most significant competition among school's are in the various national and inter- school Literary Competitions. Since Dharumavantha was opened, Dharumavantha has won the National Oratory competition 6 times. Dharumavantha has also achieved many awards in other competitions such as National Essay Writing Competition and National Short Story Writing Competition. Dharumavantha School has won many sporting competitions such as the Majeediyya VS Dharumavantha Big match twice.
